Description: Here's a nice 137 acre tract of Wetlands that has been developed for duck and small game hunting. There is approximately 15 acres in woods and tree lines and the balance in open WRP.
The property has been enrolled into the WETLANDS Reserve Program. This program is sponsored by the NRCS and the most of the work was done or recommended by "Ducks Unlimited".
Several shallow water and permanent water areas were developed with levees and water control structures that were put in place to control the water. Several thousand trees were also planted that will be mature and ready for harvest in the future. Ducks, geese, deer and other small game hunting is available on the farm.
LOCATION: In Section 16 T4N R5E in St. Francis County, Arkansas. This tract of land adjoins several hundred acres of WRP land and is located just one air mile west of Mud Lake Hunting Club (a 3,000 acre private duck hunting club) near Hughes.
The property has about one mile of water frontage on both Blackfish and Fifteen Mile Bayou. Both of these bayous provide excellent duck hunting opportunities when the fields are frozen.
Food plots, trails and established duck holes are on the property.
This tract is about 5 miles west of Hughes on highway 38 at Twin Bridges.
